Uncanny In The Valley
Uncanny In The Valley is an exploration into the realm of data algorithms, where sculptures crafted in Blender undergo manipulation through C++ algorithms and are subsequently exported as PLY files. Upon import into Unity, C# scripts orchestrate the dynamic manipulation of these rigged sculptures in response to the user's proximity in virtual reality (VR). The resulting interaction with these alien-like figures is characterised by uncanny reactions, inspired by the concept of the 'Uncanny Valley' elucidated by robotics professor Masahiro Mori.
